The Package Holiday Makes A Comeback.

All-inclusive package holidays are becoming increasingly popular again as holidaymakers seek value for money.

Packages which include flights, accommodation, transfers, food, drink and entertainment are seeing a significant rise as people can see exactly what they are getting, and more importantly, how much they are paying before they travel.

Low cost airlines are slowly increasing taxes and introducing extra charges for things such as checking in each bag, making their original prices higher than they first appear.

Britain’s biggest tour operator TUI, who own Thomson and First Choice said that while overall bookings were slightly down on this time last year, all-inclusive package bookings are actually up by 10%.

10 day package holidays, as opposed to 14, have also increased by a staggering 50% as shrewd holidaymakers look to save money while still managing to have a good holiday. TUI noted that passengers are still looking for the same quality of holiday, but by going for a couple of days less, are ensuring they receive great value for their money.

Natalie McInnes, Web Operations Manager at leading travel comparison site Holidayhypermarket.co.uk. was quoted as saying; “By using our travel comparison website, holidaymakers can ensure they are getting the best value for their money by comparing our excellent package deals with build your own options.”
