Low cost airline EasyJet are to offer Starbucks coffee and luxury teas on flights from next month.

From 1 May passengers on EasyJet flights out of Newcastle, Gatwick, Stansted and Madrid will be offered 4 different varieties of Tazo tea, Starbuck’s Gourmet Hot Cocoa and VIA Ready Brew micro ground coffee.

The instant coffee tastes the same as Starbucks brewed coffee and EasyJet’s in-flight category manager; Rob Pickering stated it was a vital step in improving the EasyJet onboard product range.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said it was an excellent opportunity for them to introduce their brand to new customers, while ensuring existing customers could enjoy high quality instant coffee during their flight.

The instant coffee will be priced as £2.10 a cup.
