Regional carrier Eastern Airways is set to begin flights to Aberdeen and Southampton from Liverpool.
The airline will run three flights a day to each destination from July 6, plus increase their Aberdeen flights to Southampton from two to five.
Eastern Airways chief operating officer Chris Holliday hailed it as a ‘major milestone’ for the company and stated “We’re providing the fastest links from Liverpool to Aberdeen and Southampton.”
Holliday added that the service would be ideal for business travellers as they could now complete business trips without an overnight stay, concluding that Eastern Airways were “providing greater flexibility and even more choice for business and leisure travellers.”
