A leading UK holiday company is giving away static caravans to Britons wanting a free holiday home.
Park Holidays say the caravans are all around 15 years old, worth up to £4000, come with all their original fixtures and fittings and will be given a full safety check before ownership is transferred.
Holidaymakers will be responsible for the annual pitch fee which, depending on the park you’re based at would be between £1800 and £4000. There is also an annual water and electricity charge of £400.
There would be no commitment further than one year when owners could then remove the caravan from the park for a disconnection fee of £300.
Park Holidays suggest that the caravans would make ideal starter vans for customers new to caravanning, who may then move on to more modern caravans in the future. Owners could also rent the vans out to generate a second income and cover maintenance costs.
