Work commitments are causing more and more Brits to take less and less holidays.
According to a survey carried out by travel company Expedia.co.uk, up to 22% of the British workforce has had to cancel holidays due to pressures at work.
Employees in the UK are entitled to an average of 26 days holiday every year, but end up taking only 24, states the poll carried out with 10,000 adults in 11 different countries.
The Japanese came out worst of all with only 15 days entitlement each year, the average person takes only 7, and out of just 13 days, the Americans take only 10.
The French, perhaps have the right idea, having an average of 38 days to take a year, they make sure they use 36 of them.
The poll also revealed that 8% of Britons will intentionally not use their full holiday entitlement this year in order to claim money back from their employers for days unused.
