First choice resort staff at the Aparthotel Aquasol in Majorca recently welcomed some very special pirate friends in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Six families were chosen by the hospital to spend the week in Palma Nova and attend the VIP Pirates Adventure following the immense courage shown during their children’s illnesses.

UK celebrities from shows like Eastenders, Holby City and Coronation Street, plus Claire Sweeney, Pauline Quirke and Harry Potter’s very own Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) joined the brave children as they watched the incredible acrobats of the Pirates Adventure.

The charity show was enjoyed by locals and ex-pats with the annual event proudly raising over €500,000 in the last six years.

The money raised will go to the Theatres for Theatres appeal at Great Ormond Street Hospital, an initiative created to help treat children with complex neurological and craniofacial conditions in state of the art theatres within the new children’s Centre for Neurosciences.
